About Me
My name is Matt McKee
and I am currently the Children’s Pastor of Horizon Community Church.
Horizon is located in Cincinnati,
OH and was started in 2001. The church is moving in and out of a school each Sunday. We just bought 154 acres
for our first building and hope to be in the facility by 2009. I started
at Horizon in 2005 but have been in Children’s ministry since 2000.
Before coming to Horizon I was on staff at Fellowship Church
in Grapevine, TX, for 5 years from 2000 until 2005. Starting at Fellowship as
an intern and leaving as the Elementary Director was an incredible experience.
While there I helped create, produce, manage, and write curriculum including
G-Force which is published by Lifeway Christian Resources. I have been given
the opportunity to lead ministries that average 2000 kids in weekend attendance
and now 200 and growing. I am married to Jessica and we have 2 incredible sons, Patriot and Azlan. When I am not thinking about Children's Ministry I am pondering business ideas, marketing, naming, and signs. I love to play sports of all sorts and am a huge fan of Kentucky Basketball, the NFL in general, and the Dallas Mavericks. Thanks for stopping by. I do appreciate it.
